Sleep & Waking Adhkar
📖 The Prophet ﷺ said: "When you go to bed, perform wudu as for prayer, then lie on your right side and say..." (Bukhari & Muslim)
🌙 Sunnah Sleep Position
- Lie on your right side
- Place right hand under right cheek
- Face toward the Qiblah if possible
- Keep knees slightly bent for comfort
☑️ Sunnah Before Sleep
- Perform wudu (ablution)
- Dust off the bed three times with the edge of your garment
- Lie on your right side, facing the Qiblah if possible
- Place right hand under cheek
- Recite the following adhkar

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
Bismika Allaahumma amootu wa ahyaa
"In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live."

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ خَلَقْتَ نَفْسِي وَأَنْتَ تَوَفَّاهَا، لَكَ مَمَاتُهَا وَمَحْيَاهَا، إِنْ أَحْيَيْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا، وَإِنْ أَمَتَّهَا فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ
Allaahumma innaka khalaqta nafsi wa anta tawaffaahaa, laka mamaatuhaa wa mahyaahaa, in ahyaytahaa fahfadhhaa, wa in amattahaa faghfir lahaa, Allaahumma inni as'alukal-'aafiyah
"O Allah, You have created my soul and You will take it. To You belongs its death and its life. If You give it life, protect it, and if You cause it to die, forgive it. O Allah, I ask You for well-being."

سُورَة الإِخْلَاص + سُورَة الفَلَق + سُورَة النَّاس
Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas
Recite each 3 times, cup hands, blow into them, and wipe over body.
Bukhari, Muslim - The Prophet ﷺ did this every night.

Ayatul Kursi × 1
آيَةُ الْكُرْسِي (البَقَرَة ٢٥٥)
Ayatul Kursi (Al-Baqarah 2:255)
Recite the Verse of the Throne before sleeping.
🌟 Allah will appoint a protector and no devil will come near until morning.
🌅 Upon Waking Up
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Alhamdu lillaahil-ladhi ahyaanaa ba'da maa amaatanaa wa ilayhin-nushoor
"Praise is to Allah Who has given us life after He caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection."
