📖 The Prophet ﷺ said: "Recite Ayat al-Kursi before going to bed, and a guardian from Allah will watch over you, and Satan will not come near you until morning." (Bukhari) Recite the 3 Quls (Ikhlas, Falaq, Nas) 3 times each in the morning and evening for protection.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
اللَّهُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
Allahu la ilaha illa huwa al-Hayyul-Qayyum. La ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm. Lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard. Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnih. Ya'lamu ma bayna aydeehim wa ma khalfahum wa la yuhituna bi shay'in min 'ilmihi illa bima sha'. Wasi'a kursiyyuhus-samawati wal-ard wa la ya'uduhu hifzuhuma. Wa huwal-'Aliyyul-'Azim.
Translation: "Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."
🌟 Virtue: Recite once in the morning and once in the evening. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after every prayer, nothing will prevent him from entering Paradise except death." (Nasai)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
١ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
Qul huwallahu ahad
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One."
٢ اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ
Allahus-Samad
Allah, the Eternal Refuge.
٣ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
Lam yalid wa lam yoolad
He neither begets nor is born.
٤ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ
Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad
Nor is there to Him any equivalent.
🌟 Virtue: Recite 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the evening. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Say: He is Allah, One (Surah Al-Ikhlas) is equivalent to one-third of the Quran." (Muslim)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
١ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
Qul a'oodhu bi-Rabbil-falaq
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak."
٢ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Min sharri maa khalaq
From the evil of that which He created.
٣ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ
Wa min sharri ghaasiqin idhaa waqab
And from the evil of darkness when it settles.
٤ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِى الْعُقَدِ
Wa min sharrin-naffaathaati fil-'uqad
And from the evil of the blowers in knots.
٥ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad
And from the evil of an envier when he envies.
🌟 Virtue: Recite 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the evening. The Prophet ﷺ used to seek refuge with these two Surahs (Al-Falaq and An-Nas) every night. (Bukhari)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
١ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
Qul a'oodhu bi-Rabbin-naas
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind."
٢ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ
Malikin-naas
The King of mankind.
٣ إِلٰهِ النَّاسِ
Ilaahin-naas
The God of mankind.
٤ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ
Min sharril-waswaasil-khannaas
From the evil of the retreating whisperer.
٥ الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ
Alladhi yuwaswisu fi sudoorin-naas
Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind.
٦ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ
Minal-jinnati wan-naas
From among the jinn and mankind.
