📖 Note: These special duas are for specific situations and occasions. Memorize them and use them in your daily life to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
Dua Before Sleeping
اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya
O Allah, in Your name I die and I live.
• Recite Ayat al-Kursi (2:255)
• Recite last 2 verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:285-286)
• Recite the 3 Quls (Ikhlas, Falaq, Nas) - 3 times each
• Blow on hands and wipe over body
• Sleep on right side
• Place right hand under cheek
Dua Upon Waking
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Alhamdulillahilladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur
Praise be to Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.
Dua for Travel
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ
Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqalibun
Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have done it by ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we will return.
• Recite when mounting transport
• Add: "Allahumma inna nas'aluka fi safarina hadhal-birra wat-taqwa..." (O Allah, we ask You in this journey for righteousness and piety...)
Dua Upon Returning
آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ
Ayibuna, ta'ibuna, 'abiduna, li-Rabbina hamidun
We are returning, repenting, worshipping, and praising our Lord.
• Visit mosque first (2 Rak'ats)
• Distribute gifts
When You Sneeze
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
Alhamdulillah
Praise be to Allah

Yarhamukallah
May Allah have mercy on you
Sneezer Replies
يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ
Yahdikumullahu wa yuslihu balakum
May Allah guide you and set your affairs right
When Yawning
• Suppress yawn if possible
• Cover mouth with hand
• Don't make sound ("Ha") as Satan laughs
Dua for the Sick
لَا بَأْسَ طَهُورٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
La ba'sa tahurun in sha' Allah
No harm, it is a purification if Allah wills.
• Visit regularly
• Make dua for recovery
• Recite 7 times: "As'alullahal-'Azima Rabbal-'Arshil-'Azimi an yashfiyaka"
Dua Upon Entering Market
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu yuhyi wa yumitu wa huwa hayyun la yamutu, biyadihil-khayru wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer
There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is Ever-Living and does not die. In His hand is all good, and He is over all things capable.
