Wal-'aadiyaati dabha
By the charging horses, panting,
Fal-mooriyaati qadha
And striking sparks of fire,
Fal-mugheeraati subha
And making raids at dawn,
Fa-atharna bihee naq'a
Stirring up thereby clouds of dust,
Fa-wasatna bihee jam'a
And arriving thereby in the center collectively,
Innal-insaana li-rabbihee lakanood
Indeed, mankind is ungrateful to his Lord,
Wa innahoo 'alaa dhaalika la-shaheed
And indeed, he is a witness to that.
Wa innahoo lihubbil-khayri la-shadeed
And indeed, he is intense in his love of wealth.
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered,
Wa hussila maa fis-sudoor
And that within the breasts is obtained,
Inna rabbahum bihim yawma-idhil-la-khabeer
Indeed, their Lord is, about them on that Day, fully Aware.
