١ لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ
Lam yakunil-ladheena kafaroo min ahlil-kitaabi wal-mushrikeena munfakkeena hattaa ta'tiyahumul-bayyinah
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from disbelief] until there came to them clear evidence—
٢ رَسُولٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ يَتْلُو صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً
Rasoolum-minal-laahi yatloo suhufam-mutahharah
A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures,
٣ فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ
Feehaa kutubun qayyimah
Within which are correct writings.
٤ وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ
Wa maa tafarraqal-ladheena ootul-kitaaba illaa mim ba'di maa jaa-at-humul-bayyinah
And those who were given the Scripture did not become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence.
٥ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ
Wa maa umiroo illaa liya'budul-laaha mukhliseena lahud-deena hunafaa-a wa yuqeemus-salaata wa yu'tuz-zakaah, wa dhaalika deenul-qayyimah
And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion.
٦ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ
Innal-ladheena kafaroo min ahlil-kitaabi wal-mushrikeena fee naari jahannama khaalideena feehaa, ulaa-ika hum sharrul-bareeyah
Indeed, those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.
٧ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ
Innal-ladheena aamanoo wa 'amilus-saalihaati ulaa-ika hum khayrul-bareeyah
Indeed, those who believed and did righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures.
٨ جَزَاؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۖ رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ
Jazaa-uhum 'inda rabbihim jannaatu 'adnin tajree min tahtihal-anhaaru khaalideena feehaa abadaa, radiyal-laahu 'anhum wa radoo 'anh, dhaalika liman khashiya rabbah
Their reward with their Lord will be gardens of perpetual residence, beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them and they with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord.
