١ إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
Innaa anzalnaahu fee laylatil-qadr
Indeed, We sent it [the Quran] down during the Night of Decree.
٢ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ
Wa maa adraaka maa laylatul-qadr
And what can make you know what the Night of Decree is?
٣ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
Laylatul-qadri khayrum-min alfi shahr
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
٤ تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
Tanazzalul-malaa-ikatu war-roohu feehaa bi-idhni rabbihim min kulli amr
The angels and the Spirit [Jibreel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
٥ سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ
Salaamun hiya hattaa matla'il-fajr
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
⭐ The Magnificence of Laylatul Qadr
1000+ Months = 83+ Years!
Worship on this ONE night equals worship for more than 83 years (a lifetime)!
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever stands in prayer on Laylatul Qadr out of faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven." (Bukhari & Muslim)
When is it? It is in the last ten nights of Ramadan, most likely the odd nights (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th). The Prophet ﷺ said: "Seek it in the odd nights of the last ten days."
📖 About This Surah
• The Quran was revealed in this blessed night from the Preserved Tablet (Lawh Mahfuz) to the lowest heaven.
• "Al-Qadr" means decree, power, and honor - all meanings apply.
• The angels fill the earth on this night, bringing mercy and blessings.
• The dua to make: "اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي"
"O Allah, You are Pardoning and love to pardon, so pardon me." (Tirmidhi)
