Surah Ad-Duha | The Morning Hours | 11 Ayat | Makki | Surah 93
A Message of Hope & Divine Comfort
Wad-duhaa
By the morning brightness,
Wal-layli idhaa sajaa
And by the night when it covers with darkness,
Maa wadda'aka rabbuka wa maa qalaa
Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased.
Wa lal-aakhiratu khayrul-laka minal-oolaa
And the Hereafter is better for you than the present life.
Wa la-sawfa yu'teeka rabbuka fatardaa
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
Alam yajidka yateeman fa-aawaa
Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter?
Wa wajadaka daallan fahadaa
And He found you lost and guided you.
Wa wajadaka 'aa-ilan fa-aghnaa
And He found you poor and made you self-sufficient.
Fa-ammal-yateema falaa taqhar
So as for the orphan, do not oppress him.
Wa ammas-saa-ila falaa tanhar
And as for the one who asks, do not repel him.
Wa ammaa bini'mati rabbika fahaddith
And as for the favor of your Lord, proclaim it.
