سُورَةُ الشَّرْح
Surah Ash-Sharh | The Relief | 8 Ayat | Makki | Surah 94
With Every Hardship Comes Ease
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
١ أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ
Alam nashrah laka sadrak
Did We not expand for you your breast?
٢ وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ
Wa wada'naa 'anka wizrak
And We removed from you your burden,
٣ الَّذِي أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ
Alladhee anqada dhahrak
Which had weighed upon your back,
٤ وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ
Wa rafa'naa laka dhikrak
And We raised high for you your reputation.
٥ فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
Fa-inna ma'al-'usri yusraa
Indeed, with hardship comes ease.
٦ إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
Inna ma'al-'usri yusraa
Indeed, with hardship comes ease.
٧ فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ
Fa-idhaa faraghta fansab
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
٨ وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَب
Wa ilaa rabbika farghab
And to your Lord direct your longing.
