سُورَةُ الْإِخْلَاص
Surah Al-Ikhlas | The Sincerity | 4 Ayat | Makki | Surah 112
Equal to One-Third of the Quran
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
١ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ
Qul huwal-laahu Ahad
Say, "He is Allah, the One."
قُلْSay

أَحَدٌThe One
٢ اَللهُ الصَّمَدُ
Allaahus-Samad
Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

٣ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
Lam yalid wa lam yoolad
He neither begets nor is born.
لَمْNot
يَلِدْHe begets

٤ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad
Nor is there to Him any equivalent.

أَحَدٌanyone
⭐ Virtues of Surah Al-Ikhlas
The Prophet ﷺ said: "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, it is equal to one-third of the Quran!" (Sahih Al-Bukhari 5015)

A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I love this Surah." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Your love for it will admit you to Paradise." (Tirmidhi)
📖 About This Surah
• This Surah describes Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah) in the purest form.
• "As-Samad" means the One upon whom all creation depends, while He depends on none.
• It refutes all false beliefs about Allah having children or being born.
• Reciting it 3 times equals the reward of reciting the entire Quran.
